iPad Finalized

Come and gone, the iPad is 60 days away from being released in Canada and to clear up what I believe - The iPad is a device to replace netbooks, which I personally feel are a waste of 300 dollars. The iPad, be it, not much more than a large iTouch is cheap enough to make a play in this market and despite the fact that many of you feel otherwise, I would invest my money saying it will be successful no matter how much you want to bitch and complain about it.

Obviously it isn't perfect, nothing Apple makes really hits the spot just right but its different enough to be an Apple product and it does look pretty good.

At a price of $499 American for the basic 16gb model, it should be a good sell.

Height:
9.56 inches (242.8 mm)
Width:
7.47 inches (189.7 mm)
Depth:
0.5 inch (13.4 mm)
Weight:
1.5 pounds (.68 kg) Wi-Fi model;
1.6 pounds (.73 kg) Wi-Fi + 3G model

16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive

1GHz Apple A4 custom-designed, high-performance, low-power system-on-a-chip

* 9.7-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology
* 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi)
* Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating
* Support for display of multiple languages and characters simultaneously

* Dock connector
* 3.5-mm stereo headphone jack
* Built-in speakers
* Microphone
* SIM card tray (Wi-Fi + 3G model only)

Apple Shows Off The iPad

Apple has released information at a press event this afternoon to show off the new iPad.
What appears to be a large iPhone is .5" thick with a 9.7" LCD display which looks great. Its a polished machine that contains great content. People taking a guess at price are saying anywhere between 700-1000 dollars in price.

I don't think I would pay more than $799 for the device. People should not compare this to a netbook, netbooks are a waste of money and a phase. Computers are moving towards tablets. Look at desktops, many machines are being made with touch screen displays and hardware built into the display.

Tablets are the hype for the future of technology and computers and I bet we will see the tablet computer take over the laptop market as more companies come out with updated models.

The features shown so far at the event include

- Built in iPod
- Internet
- Youtube
- Gaming and Apps
- E-reader
- Organizer

Is it enough too sell what might be an expensive product. I'm sure people will buy it.

We will keep updates coming.
